Janice & Tommy’s home was a major remodeling project. There were several areas that they particularly wanted in their kitchen.
Janice loves to cook and wanted a well organized and convenient kitchen which not only functions well but is also beautiful. The mullion glass doors with water glass display antique family glassware. The increased depth wall cabinets with tambour appliance garages below provide storage for countertop appliances. The stunning shaker hood with tile backsplash set off the stove area of this kitchen. The design with clipped corners on the island and peninsula not only enhances this kitchen but also assist with the flow through the kitchen to the dining room, breakfast area, and laundry. The post on the dining room side with applied door panels and arched valance divide the kitchen from the dining room but still allows for a sense of openness as well as providing a serving area. The contrasting door styles and finish for the island add a pop of color and interest which brings out the stunning Silestone Blue Saffita Quartz surface.

Tommy requested that we build in his flat screen TV above the fireplace to match the kitchen. He requested pocket doors so that the TV could be concealed. Due to the shallow depth of the opening, a bi-fold pocket door system was constructed. This allows the doors to slide back into the opening and do not obstruct the view of the TV. We also designed a stair step look to the shelving to add interest and to provide display areas.
